Rainwater needs an appropriate route from the roof away from vulnerable parts of the building. Many homes use gutters and downpipes; others have different designed arrangements.

The task is to compare visible behaviour with the intended route. Water collecting or overflowing is a concern to record, not proof of a particular hidden blockage.
