Core body temperature usually falls around the biological night, alongside other changes associated with sleep. Heat loss through the skin can help this process.
This is a rhythm to accommodate, not a target to force. You do not need to lower your measured temperature by exactly 1°C to fall or stay asleep. A thermometer reading cannot explain every restless night.
