Lesson 14
Twelve Weeks In: Reviewing Your Plan
Work through a stalled, tired learner's plan: separate the knee from the training, test the likeliest cause and decide what to keep.
Nadia, twelve weeks in
Nadia is 41. Twelve weeks ago she started two gym sessions and two runs a week, and for the first couple of months she got steadily stronger. Four weeks ago she began eating less to lose some weight. Now her lifts have stalled for three weeks, even her warm-ups feel heavy, and her knee has puffed up twice after lunges.
She's tempted to blame herself, or the programme. But a plan written months ago is a proposal, and a lot has changed around it: food, the runs, sleep, work, stress. Each is a possible influence, not a diagnosis. This lesson works through her situation the way you'd work through your own.
