Lesson 12
Training Through the Lifespan
Return to exercise after a birth, or start in later life, from your current capacity, and know which signs need individual advice.
Same movements, new starting point
Rising from a low chair, stepping off a kerb, lifting a car seat into the car: the same movements matter whether you're ten weeks after giving birth or 74. What changes is the starting point. A routine you remember from five years ago may not fit the body you have today.
The principles from this course still work: practise what you need, start from where you are, and raise the demand gradually. What they can't do is plan recovery after a complicated birth, assess a fall or choose a safe load after a fracture. That's what individual advice is for.
