Escalating an Unresponsive Landlord

Two reports, three weeks, no reply. The useful question isn’t ‘how angry should I be?’ but ‘who can act on this?’ Poor communication, an unsafe home and an unlawful eviction each have different routes, and choosing the right one is most of the work.

One rule runs underneath all of them: keep paying rent. Withholding it or deducting repair costs without advice creates arrears, and arrears give the landlord a ground for possession, as Landlord Notices and Possession showed. It doesn’t make the repair happen any faster.
