An appliance’s programme coordinates actions such as locking, filling, heating, moving and draining. Some actions depend on earlier checks; others overlap or repeat. Thinking in stages helps you describe a failure, but a domestic appliance is not always doing only one thing at a time.
A missing action narrows a question. It does not identify the failed component or prove that everything earlier is healthy. Use the exact model’s manual and observations already available. Read Safety First: Isolation before any user maintenance; do not recreate a safety fault for this exercise.
